Easibed - Confused!

Post by elhoward » Sun Aug 07, 2011 3:04 pm

Hello

I have been scrolling through the posts and i'm getting myself all confused. I have bought two bales of easibed for my ratties but now worried that it is not suitable because it is not the cardboard.

Can someone please clarify for me whether or not this is suitable?!

Thanks so much
Laura

Hi Laura....I`ve never used it but I think it is wood based. Are you confusing it with Ecobed which is paper based ( cardboard) ? I don`t know anything about wood based stuff so hopefully someone will come along to advise you on it as a substrate.

I`ll have a `google` to see what it says about it. :D

I use Back 2 Nature and Finacard which works well for me. :D

ETA..........Hi again....It says it has a `fly killer` added so personally, I wouldn`t use it. I`ll come back with the link.

Hi Laura....here you are...http://www.easibed.co.uk/

See what you think. It looks like it has citronella or similar added to it which isn`t good for ratties but see what the others say about it. I hope you haven`t wasted your money. Where did you buy it ? They might replace it for you with something else. :D

Aww...Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings :rollred: I know Carefresh is expensive as I use it sometimes for my mice. Have you looked at Finacard ? Dilip is the guy from there and is a member here. They do a pretty good deal with free delivery if you wanted to try it.

I`ll come back with the link. :D

Only too pleaed to help Laura. Let us know what you decide on. Lost girl...I used Megazorb years ago with my guinea pigs and hated it....It`s powdery :rollred:

I use B2N with Finacard but the B2N on it`s own is fine too. My rats seem to like it. Ecobed seems to be popular on here so I may give that a try at some stage. :D Is there something you don`t like about it Lost Girl ?....It seems to be good price wise. :D

Hello

Only thing I can find roughly in my area is megazorb at just over £7 a bag. Going to give it a go and see how I get on.

Thanks for all the help :0)

My Hoover Hates it lol I find it falls out the cage etc

I love carefresh but not the price so I'm after something similar to that without the mega price!
