Some forum parts are inaccessible

Post by AnnieD » Fri May 27, 2011 6:56 am

Hi
I've been trying to get on fancy rats since yesterday. I can't seem to access the new posts / current posts bits. I can get into most of the community bits via each individual heading ie feeding behaviour.

Is this part of the ongoing problem at the moment?

(I can't not have my fancy rats!!!! Im always looking at the forum!!!!) :???:

Is it coming up with error messages? Because I'm having that too,
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Table 'phpbb3_topics' is marked as crashed and should be repaired [1194]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

ETA: any idea if we can move this into the Forum and Admin section, or can only mods do that?
Note: only mods can, but if you use the report facility to ask, then it'll be spotted.

This is the first time I've been able to get in full stop since last night (about 8pm).

I'm assuming it's all part and parcel of the issues encouraging us to move to a new and better forum.

on the plus side, I have been much more productive last night and this morning without the forum. :D

Presume I am not alone... SQL ERROR

Post by indigoj » Fri May 27, 2011 7:22 am

I am getting this error message:

General Error

SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Table 't' is marked as crashed and should be repaired [1194]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

When I click "new posts" or "view active topics", although I can view the board index, individual topics etc.

Good look to admin/mods in resolving issues as I am sure you are even more fed up of these glitches than anyone else!

I can't view Rat-Related Chitchat, amongst other things, as I'm getting that too.

It was doing that on all boards yesterday over the afternoon - but not the same time period for everyone in that according to the board index others were posting when I was unable to. The mods know about that one. But yes, I'm still getting it in rat-related chitchat too.

Thanks - I've passed the info on, so hopefully the errors will be repaired soon.

It's very difficult to tell at the moment if all the recent issues are glitches (and hugely co-incidental) or sabotage, but they do seem to be related to the forum itself and not the server end. Anyway, the best solution is to get on and move to an up to date, secure new forum - trouble is this gets delayed every time we have other problems to consume our time and attention. Catch 22. We really don't want to lock this one for any length of time in order to free us to get the new one up and running, so it's really a case of everyone bearing with us for the next few weeks.
