And... its not yellowy-peach ? What gives ?

The majority of people have kept their old usernames, but we do have a few people with new identities :) Come over and join us!

I haven't read through most of this thread but was just thinking, for the members who aren't as active and wouldn't read bits of the forum like this, would it maybe be a good idea to replace the Ratwarehouse ad with some kind of banner saying that the site had moved and giving the new address? If somebody randomly came onto FRs and didn't know, it isn't obvious that the forum is closed/moved.

Once this forum is locked for good we'll be doing just that :) (at the moment we're still letting threads come to a natural conclusion so the RWH banner is still active)

Great minds think alike!

Thats a great idea !
Personally I was unaware of the whole thing because I have the bookmark set to the "new posts" page. In fact it was through the photo competition being postponed that I found out about it
That said, if even I can catch up, then theres fair hope for everyone else

You should get an activation email once you sign up - check your junk mail. That will have instructions on how to complete your registration :)

Don't new global announcements show up as "new posts"?

For example, I could only see the global announcement after I clicked "forum admin and help" and its at the top there, I did not see it in the "new posts" bit as I don't often look through all the pages of new posts x
