URGENT! Excellent vet recommendations in N.E M'bro area?

Post by Bea_broccoli » Wed May 11, 2011 6:39 pm

I live in Redcar and willing to travel, as long as the vet is excellent. Both my vets are on holiday and I desperately need a vet whose good with rats, especially for PT's.

Thanks in advance :)

I know it's a bit of a hike but Judith Brown at First vets in Forest Hall is as far as i'm aware the best ratty vet in the North East, we've seen her a few times now and she did Whispers spey last week. She treats a lot of ners members ratties and is very knowledgable in ratty health. We lost one of our girls very suddenly last month to a PT, I really hope it's not this for you. Good luck

Hi, it's a bit further North i'm afraid. I'm not sure if it's classed as being in Newcastle or North shields, it's near a place called Benton. I've just got back from there actually after another emergency appt. Judith is there until 10:30 and then she goes to another practice to do the ops and returns for afternoon surgery at around 4-4:30

Its Newcastle - I would also highly recommend Judith, although it is a bit far away for you. You could try PMing some of the people on here who live Middlesbrough/Stockton area in case they haven't seen this post?

Gillian at Stokesley Vets is really nice, and open to suggestions on treatment. Make sure you see her not one of the other vets if you go! I have also heard good things about Bridge Vets in coulby newham - janette (nette) at Stillyrats uses them, perhaps PM her to find out which vet is best.

Good luck to you and your little man :luck:
