strange mouth bits on young kittens

Post by KateR » Tue Jun 28, 2011 6:41 pm

Several of the babies in our younger litter (currently 9 days old) have these strange things in the corners of their mouths, like an extra bit of skin. It's almost like their lip skin is longer than their lips, so it has to fold up or something. Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas what it could be, if it will go away etc? They're all feeding and growing fine so far. Or do they all have them and I just haven't noticed before?

I don't what they are, but I think I remember another thread where the babies had the same thing? - I don't think it was anything unpleasant!

Crunchie had something similar, when I first noticed it I thought she'd broke her tooth! The vet said nothing to worry about.
