New to our rattie clan. Watson has some sneezing issues.....

Post by kyotowired » Thu Jun 30, 2011 8:04 pm

Hi! Newer rat owner here. Started with just Charlie, but he seemed to lonely, and I read about the importance and benefits of playmates. Thus, a few days ago we added Watson to our group. They both came from the same pet store. I don't know much about their breeding, history, or even age. But the pet shop is a nice place, and I feel good about the environment they came from.

Watson is warming up to us and his new environment slowly, but making progress. However, he does seem to have a sneeze that bothers me. I feel that it's probably my "New Rat Owner" paranoia, so I'm trying to ease my nerves. When I start hearing/seeing sneezing when should I really be concerned? I haven't seen any porphyrin (sp?), not have I heard any wheezing. I could see their being some allergies, but their are so many possibilities and I JUST bought a large bag of bedding...

Any tips or suggestions....?
My two little buddies: Charlie and Watson.
