I am pleased to say that we are coming out the other side of the SDA virus we have had here. We lost 6 rats within the first 72 hours and then with round the clock nursing managed to pull everyone through. Not sure how we didn't lose more as we had so many very sick ones. Everyone is almost back to normal except one girl still has an ongoing eye problem, but she was the only one who had it.
I had litters due 2 weeks into the outbreak who are now 3 weeks old (so we are now almost 5 weeks after first symptoms noticed). They went into their bigger cages yesterday from birthing cage and a few are today sneezing. I am assuming this is virus related. For those who have had kittens born during SDA and showed mild symptoms did you treat them or treat the mother? Mum is still feeding them and they are starting to wean now.
