what colour are we??!

the reason i ask, is the smooth coat and 3 of the rex/DR are much lighter than the rest, they look much like a dark RB kind of steely grey, im wondering whether its silvering or could the colour be diluted by something genetically??

it isnt too clear on the pics, but the 4 of them are alot lighter.

how dark can mink be??

I had a whole litter of 'minks' and 'cinnamons' that suddenly turned black and agouti at two weeks, they had a very large number of carried recessives (they were platinum cross topaz). When they grew up the blacks turned greyish with gingery black tips but they were still really black.

wow...nice colour change in your litter!!

the more fur they get, the lighter they are going!

under the camera flash and daylight, i have 4 minky-slatey grey things and 5 blacky things :lol:

how do recessives alter the rats coat colour?

i purporsely stay stupid to genetics, else id want to create babies in RBA/RB lol :lol:
