Strange berkshire rat!

Dhiren is a berkshire dove, his mom is Noah, one of my rats, she is capped dove, and the father is Mikail, another one of my rats, a self blue.

But Dhiren is berkshire... well.. it's ok.. but.. look the light lines at both sides!

It's a moult line, not markings. Although capped to self should make berkshires too (so presumably he has some degree of white on his tum), that line is nothing to do with markings and most definitely just a moult.

Maybe he's been wading through puddles....my shoes have water marks just like that after a walk in the rain!!! :lol:

I agree with Lisa - it looks funky :lol: But just looks like a moult line to me, it should go :) One of my essex lads recently had hooded 'markings' over the top of him being essex but after a few weeks and he's lost it now :)

LOL. You made me day. :)

If its not a moult line, chances are it'll just fade out.. One of my bucks is hooded, then he sort-of gained a darker 'mask' and from there it disappeared again.

Strange. >_>

Not really, that will have been a moult line too. All rats moult, regardless of markings.
