Friendly rats wanted in W Yorkshire

Post by Millymollymandy » Mon Jan 31, 2011 5:28 pm

I'm looking for 3 young does, not for breeding or showing so I'm not fussed about markings or pedigrees. I'd just like some nice, friendly rats. Does anyone know of any in the W Yorks area? Poor old Milly, Molly and Mandy are no longer with us and the house feels empty without them.

i think there is a section on the forum that lists members that are breeders in different areas. There is also a list you can request from the NFRS that contains the contact details for NFRS registered breeders.

dont forget to check the rescue section too, and contact your local rescue as they often dont have time to list every rat they have! :luck:

There's a few of us in West Yorkshire - me, Odyssey Rats, Endeavour Rats, Bahtat Rats, to name a few.

There's also a regular show in Leeds (next one is in March, you've just missed one) where there'll be several breeders about to meet, and also Cynthia from Manchester Rodent Rescue usually attends. It might be worth contacting her and seeing if she has any babies available for collection from the show?

Or if you'd prefer breeder rats - you can email breeders@nfrs.org for a list of breeders, here's some websites for you too...

I believe Cynthia's email address is rat.rescue@ntlworld.com - hope that helps a bit :)

Most definitely you nette - but you're not in West Yorkshire. But yes, for superfriendly babies, you can't go wrong with Janette/Stillyrats, and she comes tot he YRC shows :)

Thanks everyone. I've now got 3 lovely little girlies (plus a big goody bag) from Sheena and Nick of donnyrats.
