that webpage is very interesting!
im just courius(sp) as i think one of my boys *might* be satin not too sure tho
his coat is very shiney and he is so soft too soft for a buck :lol:

That's debatable - some breeders and bybs claim to have satin dumbo rexes in the russian colours but apparently they don't look much like the satins breeders used to get in their lines..

I never found them attractive tbh, they always looked greasy and malnourished to me no matter how well they were fed!

There appears to be two kinds of 'satin'. One is what I would call satin and the other is just a longer coated rat. A long coat is a common fault in rats and when I health checked one at a show I didn't even notice it was one of the longer coated satins :oops:

Jolly - are your satins breeding as dominant or recessive gene? It's nice to see some pics of some healthy looking 'greasy style' satins for a change.

the 3 ive seen, looked pretty damn yummy!

i have a possibly pregnant doe coming here from blackburn(guess who shes originally from!)
who was supposedly mated to a RB satin rex, but then the girl deciding shes got enough on her plate minus breeding ratties :-?
as far as i know, the doe is rex too.
