One on my baby girls , was chasing her mum around the cage and rubbing up against her.... she is 100% female but whyyyy??? and the mum (mary) was arching her back like she wanted her to do it. is this normal behavier???

Girls will do this when they are in season - perfectly normal behaviour

Mummy rat is in heat (does do this every 4-5 days - it's normal don't worry ) and baby rat is taking advantage of the situation to try and get a bit of dominant behaviour over on her mum - mum will get her own back when baby comes into heat .

It's not a sexual thing, it's just part of ratty group dynamics. My group go nuts when one of the girls is in heat - everyone else will try to hump the girly in heat, poor thing
