Fish + Rat = ???

Post by Grace of the Heart » Sun Aug 07, 2011 3:32 pm

I realize this is probably a ridiculous question, but I have a betta, Henry... I'm worried that if I got some rats, they might do something like stare at him all day and scare him..... (He's quite timid) I would just want to know this in case I would need to relocate Henry into a different room. Or, in general, should I ask; Do rats have problems with fish in the same room?
Like I said, a ridiculous question, but it's better to be safe than sorry....

You should be fine. My rats pay no attention to the fish tank they are more interested in watching TV

I'd be surprised if they even noticed each other :)

Alright; thank you both. I really appreciate it, and I'm happy to know a few ratties won't want to snack on Henry. :P

Surely they wouldn't be able to get to him anyway? I agree that I can't see rats caring in the least though :) Some of the non-pellet/flake fish treat foods go down pretty well with rats though e.g. worms.
