What is this petition actually asking for? How will it help bring an end to poor conditions? What is the point in signing it?

Yeah, it's not really clear. Other than getting a load of names of people who want farm to disappear? Who is it being sent to? Or do I have to register to see all that?

I've come across the site care2 a few times now. It's simply a means for anyone to set up a petition for a worthy cause. It's quite harmless and works on the basis of strength in numbers to stand against or for something.

It's harmless - but that particular petition seems, at best, useless.
