In Hull I pay about £52 inc. meds and a followup check up. There is 10% off on bulk neuters so my last 3 together cost £139 inc. post op check up.

I haven't shopped around price wise as my vet is the only one I've found in the area who I trust and the practice is the only one in Hull which uses Sevoflurane anaesthetic, so pay an extra £5 for that piece of mind too.

Around £45 in various vets in Sheffield. My boy didn't make it through his operation though so they only charged me £29 for the anaesthetic :(

My vet probably chargess £50 as I pay £50 for lump removals and have paid £50 for a spay. Didn't have to pay for my boy to be done as he was done by the rescue.

Generally speaking, the vet I use in Essex is cheaper than my local vet in East London, but I've only had one castration and that was in Essex (so can't compare that). The reason for the castration was that Tristan was crytorchid, though, so it was a little more complicated than a regular castration. I think it might have cost around £80, possibly cheaper, possibly a bit dearer. If I can find the receipt I will post with the exact cost.

I live so far north that I don't have a choice of vet but luckily their prices aren't horrendous. I just had Dusty castrated on Friday and was charged £31. Dusty attacked Bolt 3 weeks ago and ripped Bolts testicles so I had to rush him down to the vet at tea time just before they were closing and was only charged £36 for sorting him out.
