Echinacea straight from the dropper???

Post by AnnieD » Mon Jul 11, 2011 2:17 pm

Ive got some fruit flavoured alcohol free echinacea. I know that the rule is a couple of drops in water for no more than 2 weeks in any given period - but just wondered as it tastes so nice, is it ok to give a drop direct to a rat (if they will take it)?

Note: Although this is health related, it also relates to feeding, so moved to maximise the chance of a knowledgable reply (since it will now be visible in both forums  ).

Hello...

I'm afraid that I don't know the answer to this one, so I'm bumping this in the hope that someone else does :)

Feeding from the dropper would be fine, though if they like it you will need to watch they don’t get too much or steal the dropper. An aim of one drop per rat for the periods your ‘on’ is a good aim. I’ve done this before myself as it’s more reliable than estimating how much they drink.

I've never had a rat like it! Even the flavoured stuff is gross :sickrat:
