yesterday, my rats totally pigged out.

I made them cous cous with mixed herbs, little bit of garlic, veg, lambs liver & lambs heart. Then they had tiny pancakes with honey for afters.

They don't need to eat now for another month or so :o

End of term tomorrow so I'm feeding them up a bit re big journeys and suchlike.

Today's meal was couscous in stock, butternut squash, onion, garlic, pepper, tomato, kale and flax oil. Mixed up with half a tin of kitten applaws and some dr squiggles. They also had a bit of prawn cracker each (except Lir who didn't want any and had some kibble instead), and Orble also had some of my duvet cover and pj top

Well, everyone needs fibre in their diet. Mine had a bit of carpet today. Rented carpet. Also boiled quinoa, buckwheat and millet mixed with grated carrot and finely chopped mushroom, a sprinkle of calcivet, garlic and spirulina powder, and some flax seeds. And a veg ball of kale. They're not being fed up for a journey though, they're just horribly spoilt

Well yesterday they all had thir usual dry mix and some veg. Then seeing as Dento wasnt eating much after his Op, I gave him some special food :)

As a starter, I served him Grated carrot on a paper plate, which later became his bed for the night.

Main course was tuna pasta in lloyd grossman pasta sauce. Very posh!

And for desert he got to lick some apple sauce off my little finger :)

I hope hes not expecting that tonight....

We've spoiled our girls today since they've been so good!

As well as their normal Shunamite diet, they got a miniature roast dinner - some chopped up roast parsnips, mange tout and shredded lean chicken with a teensy dollop of gravy, then for dessert they got a teeny pancake (left over mix from our posh brunch :)) with a chopped up strawberry and a teensy dollop of cream!

They shall not be getting that often!

Hehe I used to be a regular user of this forum but haven't posted properly for years (though I've still got ratties). I've just popped on for a bit of advice and was chuffed to bits to see that this thread - that I started in a nosy moment 6 years ago - is still going! A 6-year old thread! That must be a record, surely!

:D

p.s. last night my girls had peas, kale and macaroni cheese :-)

To celebrate the week anniversary of getting my new girlies, I thought I'd make them something nice; Steamed brown rice and courgette with tomato and garlic! I gave them a rather hefty amount, thinking I'd remove the bowl when they were full, but they finished off the lot and then fought over who should lick the bowl

My two lovely young men last enjoyed a small piece of unseasoned filet (living like kings) cooked on the side especially for them, corn , 2 grapes and a handful of dry. In the matter of two hours the food was gone, or appeared to be. They often enjoy hiding their food, I suspect its to guilt me into giving them more. Gluttons !
