'Burgess Supa Natural' as Shunamite base

Post by Rose's Mischief » Mon Aug 17, 2009 11:38 pm

I give this: :smileyrat: :dumbo: :dumbo: :dumbo:

This is a complimentary rabbit food, which is recommended in the Shunamite Diet as a base food. There are some nuggets which contain all the nutrients, and are good for selective feeders, but there is also a variety of grains, so the food is not boring for the rats to eat.

No alfalfa pellets which some other rabbit feeds have [rats do not eat these], but does have alfalfa hay, which some rats may use as bedding, but personally, my rats love to eat! Also no bananas, which some other base food have in [feed with banana in will need to be significantly reduced for elderly rats].
It keeps my ratties in very good condition, and contains natural ingredients, which my rats love to eat.

Nutritional Information: Protein 12.5% [healthy levels are below 15%], Oil 2%, Fibre 9%, Copper 15mg/kg [Copper levels should be 15mg/kg or more, as it is an important nutrient for rats]

Ingredients: Toasted pea flakes, extruded biscuits, oats, toasted maize flakes, toasted bean flakes, dried grass, toasted wheat flakes, toasted barley flakes, sugar cane molasses, dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate.

I buy from Pet Planet but also available from Feedem.

Rats aren't for everyone ... they're very picky.
