eyes not fully open...

Post by petrify » Sat Jul 26, 2008 9:45 am

OK, my beloved Fernie needs some advice. Hes not opening his eyes completely, kinda looks like he's half asleep even when he is awake. hes recently had some of that pophoryn (sp?) round his eyes, its not every day, but hes breathing fine, nothing in his lungs, no lumps bumps or scratches. made him completely wet so i could check there wasnt a lump in his bowel (there was athread on here about an 8 week old buck having an internal lump so i thought i would check.) hes 12 weeks old today!

any ideas? hes eating fine, drinking fine and playing fine, but im just being overly cautious!!

thanks x

Rex does this quite alot and he gets porphyrins ever now and again which i have asked vets and research and is normal in small amounts.

Perhaps Fernie was just sleepy? Maybe had some conjunctavitous in their eye and when you gave them a bath it was washed away? If you see a build up take him to the vet, it can be quite contagious.

Other then that, I am just guessing. :luck:
