Since 2007 mine have come to around £400 - 450. I do have all their records, but they're over there and I'm over here!

Not bad considering that's been a lumpectomy, numerous trips for rattles, mites, 4 neuters, 2 PTS' and other miscellaneous stuff!

So far this year, approximately £190. Doesn't seem that much compared with many of you but that's just for one chesty rat, a sprained foot (my own stupid fault for overreacting  ) and two euthanasias. Unless I've forgotten something.
Careful now

Hmmm.

2005 About £20
2006 About £120
2007 About £300- many rescues, many oldies all at once- including one emergency op
2008 About £400- as above and long term illnesses
2009 About £300 so far

probably an underestimate  I dont really want to know tbh I am meant to be saving for a house

Just done my 2009 figures and we spent just over £1,500 at the vets.

13 out of 16 rats had treatment. It did include 7 lots of surgery (for which our vet isn't cheap) and one of those was a complicated emergency spay which cost over £300 alone; so an expensive year!

2009 - about £170

(http://www.exoticdirect.co.uk insurance quoted me £174.30 one years cover for my 2 girls with : "Vet fees stated are per policy, per year, and have an excess of £50 per animal per course of treatment." Oh and "Vet fees only covered up to £2000 per policy". Not really a saving is it? :-? )

I've just had to add mine up twice, cause I really wasn't expecting the result I got! :o
For 2009 I've spent £919 at the vet! I thought it was probably half that amount  And it would've been about that if it weren't for the 4 operations and 2 emergency vet trips on top.
I'd like to say fingers crossed for a healthier & cheaper 2010, but with 12 rats, including six girls in or approaching middle age I kinda have my doubts...

2009 I managed to spend nearly 400 pounds at the vet. That as for a FNA, lab stuff x 2, lump removal, and loads of other stuff I can't remember.

So far this year, I'm up to 50 pounds.

2008 wasn't bad, I only had 3 rats, 2 got ratty chests a bit but vets only ever charged for 1 consult, so about £50.

2009 - started the year with 3 rats, 1 PTS, 2 new ones march, 4 new ones July:
More chestiness probably another £50
1 PTS - £20ish
A certain rat hurting his foot - £20
2 neuters - £80 + an injection 1 needed a few days later £5
Total of £175 give or take.

So far this year: £30 for my boy who has again hurt a foot

However I'm getting boys to neuter very soon so know my bill's going to come out higher this year
